Kundapur: MLA Gopal Poojary narrates grants for various works in his constituency

Kundapur, Nov 2: "A sum of Rs 40.92 crore has been sanctioned for 30 roads, bridges and other development works in Byndoor assembly constituency. A proposal for grant of Rs 21.64 crore additionally is before the government relating to 12 roads and bridges and it is on the verge of getting sanctioned," said Byndoor MLA, Gopal Poojary.

Addressing a press conference in his legislator's office at Byndoor on Wednesday November 1, Poojary said that Rs 150 lac has been sanctioned for travellers bungalow at Kollur, Rs 3.95 crore for building bridge across Kubja river at Holadamana, Rs 2.49 crore for bridge at Melpu Makadi Jeddu, Rs 4.30 crore for laying road from Vandse Nandroli to Balekere temple, development of road between Katbeltur and Beltur Bhadramahankali Rs 60 lac, Rs 91 lac for Balekere temple road in Devalkunda, Rs 4 crore for road from Uppinakudru Tallur to Bedara Kottige Bobbaryana Mane road, Rs 2 crore for road from Mulikatte PWD road to Manki Mayya House, four crore for road from Movady main road in Trasi to house of Devali Aithal, Rs 2.25 crore for road from Sauda - Siddapur road development, Rs 60 lac for Siddapur - Hallihole - Jadkal road development, and concreting of road in Kandlur town Rs 85 lac.

In addition, eight crore rupees has been sanctioned for road from Mudur village Maidan to Koremukha via Gundanahole and Sooleberu, Rs 81 lac for construction of laboratory and classrooms for Shankarnarayana government first grade college, Rs 70 lac for new building for Shankaranarayana college, Rs 42 lac for renovation work for Shankarnarayana government college. Further, Rs 20 lac has been sanctioned for road to Nayakwadi scheduled castes colony from Gangolli main road, Rs 25 lac for scheduled castes colony road in Uppunda, Rs 12 lac for road development from Manvanakatte mosque in Gulvady village to Abbigudde SC colony, Rs 23 lac for development of SC colony road to Abbigudde from Mavinakatte mosque, and Rs 27 lac for develeoping road from Shirur Malpankti SC colony road.

Grant of Rs 20 lac has been released for development of ST colony road from Ballur to Balekodlu ST colony road, Rs 25 lac for ST colony road development in Yedamoge gram panchayat, Rs 25 lac for Hosur Toodalli ST colony road in Yadtare village, Rs 14 lac for ST colony road development in Kandabarandadi, Rs 20 lac for ST colony road development at Bookari in Shirur village.

Under chief minister's road development fund, renovation of various roads are undertaken. Grant of Rs 24 lac has been sanctioned for renovation of Vandse - Alur - Gujjadi road, Rs 24 lac for renovation of Gangolli Trasi Road, Rs 24 lac for renovation lf Gantolli Trasi road, Rs 44 lac for Siddapur - Hallihole - Jadkal road renovation. Various other roads are also being developed under various grants sanctioned to them.

Rs 1 .5 crore has been sanctioned for Kaltodu - Ragihaklu Road and Chittadi - Arehole road, Rs 85 lac for Moagaveera Garadi road in Taggarse vilage, oee crore rupees for development of Mangalore Garage in Tasi to Kammarakodlu Mahaganapati road, Rs 80 lac for building bridge at km 33.5 on Siddapur - Hallihole - Jadkal road and Rs 125 lac for new bdidge on Halliholle-Jadkal road, he state. A special grant of ten crore rupees has been sanctioned for repairing of 64 roads. Some more bridges,proposal about which were sent to the government are under the stage of sanction, he added.

To a question, Poojary said that there is no question of his migrating to BJP and that many BJP leaders would be crossing over to Congress.

Poojary said that funds have been sanctioned for development of coastal roads including Koderi Road. "BJP which came to know of this, is now playing out a drama of filling potholes on the road by collecting donations. By Y Raghavendra and B S Yeddyurappa, during their stints as MPs of Shivamogga Lok Sabha constituency under which Byndoor falls, have not done anything, and they have to introspect on their contributions. While Shirur, chosen by Oscar Fernandes under MP's model village, is experiencing allround progress, the situation at Kerady, which was chosen lby yeddyurappa, needs to be compared with Shirur," he stated.

Karnataka Development Project smember, Raju Poojary,block Congress president, Madan Kumar, and taluk panchayat member, Vijaya Shetty, were present.

    Honest and nice man but lacks vision and passion to work for the constituency . Small works dont achieve much and these are regular maintanance works ..nothing new
