Haven't seen a single Nano car on the road: Rahul Gandhi attacks govt's Gujarat model

Pardi (Gujarat), Nov 3 (Zee News): In full election mode, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Friday attacked the government over the controversial Tata Nano project. "Rs 33,000 crore was given for Nano but I haven't seen a single Nano in the past 10-15 days. I have been looking for one but couldn't find it," Rahul said while addressing a rally in Pardi in Gujarat.

During a rally on Thursday too, Rahul had raised the same question pointing fingers at the Gujarat model. "Take lands from farmers, give (businessmen) water, electricity, and they give (the businessmen) give nothing in return... This is what the Gujarat model of development is," he had said.

He also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has failed to provide jobs and that instead of creating two crore jobs every year as promised by him, only one lakh jobs are being generated a year.

Assuring voters, he said that the Congress government will stick to the truth, even if it is unpalatable. He drew an analogy with the Pandava-Kaurava tussle in the Mahabharata and said that the fight between his party and the BJP in Gujarat was one between "truth and lies", where the truth lay on the Congress's side.

Gandhi said that while the Prime Minister was armed with his "government, police, army, governments in Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh", he had truth on his side "and we need nothing other than truth".

"The fight is between truth and lies. Kauravas had a huge army, weapons, and Pandavas only had truth and nothing else. I would like to tell you that we only have truth and nothing else," he said at a rally at Nana Pondha town in the tribal-dominated Valsad district.

Nano is like a toy car.....a big man's toy that is. It's FEKU model is called Gujarath Model. Tata's are good guys. They are principled people, but fell for Gujarath model. Very unfortunate.

Funny guy...If Tata Nano was not a successful model, does not mean Sanand plant is not used for other models. Tiago and Tigor are produced there and the employment and the auto component supplier ecosystem is intact. Keep searching for nano.

FYI, potholes don't appear overnight. All these years you have been ruling Gujrat and have put foundation for potholes which will appear when congress is elected by the people and rule the state. Same case in Karnataka, congress has to clean up the mess you have created and put everything in order. Anyway, people will definitely have Achhe Dins after 2019 when BJP is thrown into garbage from all over India. The writing is on the wall.
