Mangaluru, Nov 4: Mother Teresa Vichara Vedike will hold a symposium on Mother Teresa’s social service at Town Hall on November 6.

Addressing media on Friday, November 3, Roy Castelino, president of Mother Teresa Vichara Vedike said, “Today, the society is disturbed due to the existence of many anti-social elements. Society is being divided on the basis of religion, language and ideology. Humanity is disappearing slowly. These types of developments are very dangerous for our society and peaceful life. Mother Teresa Vichara Vedike works to spread the message of peace. Mother Teresa was one of the very eminent persons who practiced humanity and spread the message of true social service without any religious or community frames.”

“It is our duty to inform about her lifestyle and teachings to our existing and upcoming generation. We have to guide our youth in the footsteps of Mother Teresa. It will help them to know about real humanity and social service. If our young generation lives according to Mother Teresa’s teachings, they will automatically take lead to construct a new and peaceful society. Keeping this in mind, we will organize a symposium on the life of Mother Teresa,” he added.

“Prof Purushotham Bilimale, department head, Kannada, JNU, New Delhi will inaugurate the symposium. K Neela, Kannada writer and progressive thinker will present a paper on 'The Necessity of Mother Teresa’s Service for Peaceful Society'.
