Gujarat EC finds 3550 VVPATs defective

Ahmedabad, Nov 4 (DHNS): The Election Commission in Gujarat has found about 3,550 Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) with Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) to be defective and has rejected them.

"These machines have been brought from various states to be reused and some have come directly from factory. During our first level checks, we found that of the 70,182 machines, 3500 of them did not meet the standards so we rejected them as per EC guidelines and sent them back to Bengaluru," B B Swain, Chief Electoral Officer, Gujarat, told DH.

Of the total 70,182 VVPATs to be used in the Gujarat polls to be held on December 9 and 14, 46,000 brand new devices are received directly from Bengaluru-based Bharat Electronics Ltd (BEL) and Hyderabad-based Electronics Corporation of India (ECIL).

EVMs should be used only if all parties agree, otherwise there should be ballot voting, so that there should not be any tamasha after the elections.

Mr. Kajeriwal is always right. His claim on Dawood's extradition and our heros uninvited visit to Pak is true. His claim about tampering of EVMs are true. Mr. Kajeriwal, being an educated, respectable gentleman speaks the truth and nothing but truth. However, such people can not survive in politics. Both Congress and BJP joined together to silence him. Major part was played by BJP using their chamcha, the LG. Mr. Kajerival is the right candidate to be PM of India. He will clean the dirty politics and many from Congress and BJP, specially Chota Bheem Shah along with his father and Vadra will land in jail for their karma.

Today, times of India reported that the BJP govt in Mumbai has used a photo of a road in Bangkok, in their exhibition to showcase it's achievements. When brought to their notice, BJP govt accepted the reality, but tried to beat around the bush. A right person would have shown photo of Mumbai road. and not a road of foreign country to show its achievement. Fekugiri at the highest.
