Kundapur, Nov 4: In a tragic accident that took place early morning of Saturday October 4 at Gavali under Kota police station limits, a bike rider lost his life after colliding with a truck.
The victim is identified as Shabareesh (20), son of Shankara Kulal, resident of Haladi.
The deceased had completed Hotel Management course and was employed at a hotel in Manipal. He was on his way to work from his home and hit against a truck transporting coke from Mangaluru to Shivamogga, at a dangerous turn near Gavali. Being severely injured he was shifted to Manipal hospital, but breathed his last on the way.
A case stands registered at Kota police station.
