M'luru: Marine Engineering College, Kuppepadavu celebrates Karnataka Rajyotsava

Mangaluru, Nov 4: Marine Engineering College, Kuppepadavu celebrated Karnataka Rajyotsava on November 1.

The principal Dr Rajakiran Ballal hoisted the Karnataka flag. Thereafter a portrait of Mother Bhuvaneshwari Devi was paraded from Kuppepadavu town to the college, in accompaniment to Hulivesha, Yakshagana and the band.

Students sang Kannada songs, with slogans. The college was decorated with Karnataka flags.

Traditional Karnataka cuisine was arranged as lunch.



During the programme Nagaraj Tallanje, the chief warden of the college, spoke about Karnataka and the greatness of Kannada. Dr Rajakiran Ballal, HOD’s of civil, mechanical, marine engineering department Dr Krishnaraj, Sunil Nayak, Prof Amalraj Rodrigues took part in the function.

Professor Vishwanath Nayak welcomed the gathering and Nagaraj S delivered the vote of thanks. Student Shilpa was emcee for the Kannada cultural programmes that were performed by students and professors.
