Bantwal, Jun 23: The local Catholic Sabha unit organized a felicitation programme to honour newly-elected MLAs B Ramanath Rai and U T Khader on Sunday June 22, at Anugraha auditorium located at Modankap, near here.
Fr Roque D'Sa, parish priest of Infant Jesus Church, Modankap honoured the newly-elected MLAs by draping shawls, presenting them with fruits and flowers along with mementoes.
Dolphy Prashanth D'Souza, general secretary of Dakshina Kannada (DK) District Congress Committee (DCC), Stany Alvares of 'Maandd Sobhann' were the chief guests present on the occasion.
Fr Cyprian Pinto, Fr Benjamin Pinto, Fr Joseph Uday Fernandes, Fr Lawrence Mascarenhas, Fr Edwin Correa, Fr Walter, Fr Sylvester D'Costa, Fr Vincent Coelho, advocate Ashwini Rai, Vijay D'Souza president of Catholic Sabha Bantwal, Steven D'Souza of DK Congress Minority Cell were present.
