Udupi: Karnataka State Government Workers Association hold annual meeting

Udupi, Nov 6: Karnataka State Government Workers Association, Udupi unit organized its annual meeting at Hotel Sharada International here on Sunday, November 5.

Addressing the gathering, Shivanand Kapashi, CEO of zilla panchayat said, “Government workers execute the government’s plans. They contribute to nation building going through lots of pressure and challenges.”

Subramanya Sherigar presided over the programme.

PUC and SSLC students were felicitated on the occasion. Retired government employees were also honored for their dedicated service.

A presentation on the topic 'Banking facilities provided to government workers' was conducted by regional manager of SBI B T Shidhar.

A talk was held on 'How to overcome suicide and depression after retirement'.

B Chandrashekar, treasurer, K Kiran Hegde, member of State Legislative, Arun M Lokare, chief secretary, and Prashant Havanje were present.

Dayanand compered the programme.
