Mangaluru: NSS unit of Dr M V Shetty College of Physiotherapy inaugurated

Mangaluru, Nov 8: The NSS unit of Dr M V Shetty College of Physiotherapy, in association with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bengaluru organized a special camp inaugural at Dakshina Kannada Zilla Panchayat Model Higher Primary School, Panjimogaru, here on November 7. The camp was inaugurated by corporator Panjimogaru, Dayanandha Shetty. He stressed on awareness of social service and its importance quoting the example of Mother Theresa and social work done by her. He also explained the importance of government schools and made the people aware of the facilities provided by them.

Trustee of Dr M V Shetty Memorial Trust, Dr Divyanjali Shetty presided over the function. She encouraged the students to take part in the activities of the NSS camp. Prinipal of M V Shetty College of Physiotherapy, Prof L Gladson Jose through the NSS motto motivated the students and encouraged them to serve society throughout their life. Senate member, RGUHS, Bengaluru and NSS programme officer of the college, Dr U T Ifthikar Ali visited the school classrooms and campus and planned the developmental programme of the school.

The programme began with a prayer song and lighting of the lamp. Student of the college Preeti Lobo and Sajina presented the welcome speech. Sahana delivered the vote of thanks. Gauri, SDMC, headmistress of the school Jayalakshmi, principal Dr M V Shetty College of Speech and Hearing Dr Satish, NSS assistant Dr Kaleem Shaikh, and 

faculty members Dr P C Swain, Dr Mohammed Yasir Zahid, Dr Sanjeevani Rai, Dr Subash Srivastav, Dr Cynthia Maria Sibi, Dr Minnu Jose, Dr Tara Bhujel and Dr Anuj Basnet were present at the inauguration.
