Shivamogga, Nov 9: Officials of the Income Tax (IT) department raided the house of R M Manjunatha Gowda, president, Shivamogga District Cooperative Central Bank on Wednesday Nov 8.

Simultaneous raids were conducted by IT sleuths on the houses of Manjunatha, who is also former president of Apex Bank at Thirthahalli town and farmhouse at Karakuchi village, his relative's house in Shravathi Nagar in the city, District Cooperative Central Bank and Kodachadri Souharda Credit Cooperative Society which is managed by him.

It may be recalled that one and a half years ago, Lokayukta officials had raided the house of Manjunatha, who is also an aspirant for the coming assembly elections from the Congress party.
