Mangaluru, Nov 14: "Earning money should not be the only aim. We can build Karnataka and India of our dreams, only when we have the eagerness to imagine a new environment and work towards it. In order to achieve this, engineering students have to explore the possibility of opening new opportunities. The possibility of building Hardware Parks in the coastal region needs to be materialized," said Chakravarthy Sulibele, thinker and columnist.

He was speaking on the occasion of Rajyotsava celebration, organized by the Kannada section of Canara Engineering College, Benjanapadavu.

“India has a proud legacy of million years, which is much larger than the biggest nations of this world. Our speech and actions should reflect our culture. Our development will be fruitful only if we advance with the determination of elevating the respect of Karnataka to the global level. We need to amalgamate with our history to lead a beautiful life and literature in order to enjoy our life,” he said.

Dr Ganesh V Bhat, principal of the college, presided over the function. Narayana Swamy, coordinator of NSS unit of the college was present on the occasion. M Ganesh Kamath, administrative officer of the college, welcomed the gathering and also gave the introduction. Ganesh Nayak and Harish Hegde, students of the college, proposed the vote of thanks and compered the programme respectively. Prizes were distributed to winners of various competitions.
