Mumbai, Nov 15: Ranjani Sudhaker Hegde, unanimously elected women's wing president for the period 2017-2020 of Bunts Sangha Mumbai, prestigious organization of Bunts community in the country took over charge from outgoing president Latha Jayarama Shetty on November 14.
At a programme held in Pramoda Shivarama Shetty auditorium, Kurla east on Tuesday afternoon, outgoing president Latha J Shetty who chaired the meeting presented a flower bouquet to Ranjani S Hegde and congratulated her.
Joint secretary Asha Sudhir Shetty and joint treasurer Prashanthi D Shetty were on the dais. Meenakshi Rajashekar Shetty sang a prayer song. Treasurer Asha Santhosh Shetty presented the financial accounts. Ranjani S Hegde presented a report of social work. Vice president Mamatha M Shetty welcomed and gave details of the help fund. Secretary Kavitha I R Shetty read the previous year's report and proposed the vote of thanks.
The respective current office bearers handed over charge to newly elected vice president Uma Krishna Shetty, honorary secretary Chitra R Shetty, honorary treasurer Asha Rai, joint secretary Manorama N Shetty, joint treasurer Ratna P Shetty and congratulated them.
Former executive presidents Latha P Bhandary, Asha M Hegde, Latha Prabhaker Shetty, veteran Dr Sunitha M Shetty and hundreds of women members who were present, participated in the Bhajans in the beginning. Mata ki Chowki devotional programme was held at the end of the programme.
