Media Release

Mangaluru, Nov 16: Students must be active and each subject should be used to experiment with the different perspectives, said Dr Naveen Shetty, principal and director of Mahesh PU College at the inaugural of Science Model Contest.

“With the increase in population and traffic congestion in urban areas, atmospheric poisonous gas fills and creates various deadly diseases. Day by day increase in number of vehicles also increases fuel prices. If this continues, then every activity in the whole world will cease one day.

“Hence to preserve natural resources, we must make use of alternatives, like naturally useable bio-fuel, naturally obtained solar, water, breeze and also such resources should be used in a proper way. Today’s youth must invent automotive machinery which can preserve natural resources,” he said

Total 14 different innovative science models were prepared by students. St Aloysius College faculty Jenis Goveas and Deepa Vasanth were the judges of the contest.

Student Vamshika welcomed the gathering, college faculty Sheetal Pai co-ordinated, and Tanvi Shetty compered the programme. Faculty Yashaswini was present.
