Mangalore: District In Charge Minister Down With Chikungunya?

Mangalore, Jun 29: Dakshina Kannada district in charge minister Krishna J Palemar, who had been actively involved with measures to contain the menace of chikungunya in the district by undertaking widespread tours of villages and hospitals, exhorting the health authorities to put in more efforts to regulate the disease, is reportedly down with the same ailment, chikungunya.

The minister, who is down with suspected chikungunya fever since the last two days, has been advised by the doctors to take complete rest for two weeks.

    Now that the minister has first hand experience of the diesease, we hope that he will do something about the health and hygiene condition of the poor in the government hospitals and put an end to the mosquito and fly menace in the city.
