Adityanath hits out at film-maker Bhansali over Padmavati row

Gorakhpur, Nov 21 (PTI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today alleged that 'Padmavati' director Sanjay Leela Bhansali is no less guilty than those issuing threats to actors and others involved with the film and asserted that if there is any action, "it will be against both the sides".

Lashing out at the film-maker, he said Bhansali was "habitual of playing with public sentiments".

The state government has said it would not allow the movie's release till certain "controversial portions" are removed.

"No one has the right to take the law into own hands whether it is Sanjay Leela Bhansali or anyone else," the chief minister said.

"I feel that if those threatening (the actors of the film) are guilty, Bhansali is no less guilty," he told reporters here. The chief minister said if there is any action, "it will be against both the sides." On threats being issued to eliminate actors, Adityanath said, "Everyone should respect the feelings of each other. And I feel that if everyone has good thoughts and intentions, there would be amity in society."

The film is based on Rajput queen Padmavati.

Amid rumours that there was a romantic dream sequence between Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji's characters, various Rajput and other groups have been protesting across the country, including in Rajasthan, against the film, alleging it "distorts" history and hurts sentiments of people.

Historians are, however, divided on whether Rani Padmavati even existed.

    Great!
C.M. of Uttar Pradesh, instead of taking action on his party terrorizers, who issued death threat to Female actress Deepika Padukone,
C.M. Adityanath is hitting out film maker Bhansali over Padmavati row!
If there is illegal aspect in the film, he could have warned legal action on film maker Bhansali,
Why silence on their act and encourage his party men to give death threat?
Is the threat any way lesser than that of ISIS standard? What are they upto? what they want to gain?
From whom these terrorizers drawing inspiration from?

Those Feku seculars and award wapsi gangs should know that time is changed a lot.
CM Yogi is just example for that.
Let Bansali do any kind of historic movies on Shivaaji Maharaj,or Great Prathivraj Chauhaan if he is so eager to produce historic movies, with NOC from legal heirs of these legends.

Nobody knows the story of Padmdavathi is REAL or FEKU.....,but the sound is gaining day by day...,

Go to pakistan is not hearing..., who knows..., probably ...., SLB is waiting for Pakistan flight ticket...!!!! More than the film Padmavathi..., the response to film is more entertaining...,

B'coz of (politically biased) opposition to the film....., The story of Padmavathi and the history of Hindu Kings vs Moguls become an interesting subject of discussion across the globe, even if it is not of their interest..., but got some information ...,

More over it become the untold story or the truth to the whole of Hindustan...,

though i may be wrong..., look like useless people are restless...,

    lol

Regarding the move Padmavati, first Mr. Bansali must clarify, whether it is fictional or based on History?
If it is fictional, then change all the names of characters. Will any other religion accept any fictional movie with the character names of their religious people?
If the movie is based on History, then respect the sentiments of Rajput's. Rajput Princes never dance in public. Please go through the past and find out how many movies, books even cartoons faced protests from Christian and Muslim communities? and find out congress and pseudo seculars/ pseudo intellectuals stand during that time. They forgot freedom of expression word during that time.

Freedom of speech can't be selective!

I will tell you.... why the hell these movie directors get in to such movies... touching the sentiments... and it's always Hindu characters are in stake... Can you think of some movie where you can picturize some Musim holy character .... or any Christian character... no ...it will never happen... unfortunately ... these celebrities want to make fun of Hindu historical figures or gods .... create controversy and make money. Now you see, a small matter created such a big issue. why the hell let them to get in to such controversial issues..... so even Bhansali is responsible. Understood... ?
