Mumbai, Nov 22: BSKB Association recently celebrated Children's Day on the auditorium of 'Gokula', shelter for senior citizens in Nerul here. BSKBA vice president Vaman Holla and other office bearers lit the lamp and set the programme in motion.
The youth wing of the organization held healthy competitions for children below two years and aim the target, lullaby, recitation of verses, drawing, quiz, dance, fancy dress and more for children above two years of age. Asha Bhat, Jaya Holla, Prema Rao, Bhoomika Thapar, Krisha Kurup, Janet D'Cruz, Dr Pramod Dhanawade, Dr Girish Kulkarni, V K Suvarna and Ravi Acharya were the judges.
Association president Dr Suresh S Rao, vice president Vaman Holla and other office bearers presented prizes to winners and consolation prizes to all the other children who participated in the competitions.
The programme began with a prayer by Prema Rao. Haridas Bhat read the list of winners. Association office bearers, working committee members and hundreds of members present at the programme encouraged the children with claps. Youth wing president Haridas Bhat, Prashanth Herle and Chaitra Poti compered the programme and proposed the vote of thanks.
