Mangalore: Corp Bank Launches Scheme to Attract Customers

Mangalore, Jul 1: Corporation Bank, a premier government of India undertaking launched the ‘Corp Compassion’ to increase the numbers of customers, on Tuesday July 1.

Speaking to media persons, M Narendra, Chief General Manager (CGM) of the bank, said that the campaign will be for 100 days starting from Tuesday July 2. Bank has set a target of acquiring one million new customers during the campaign period, he told.

The bank had launched similar campaign last year for the period of 75 days. The response was overwhelming and a record number of 3.6 lac new accounts were opened during the period, he added.

Corporation Bank will donate Rs 10 for the underprivileged for every account opened under ‘Corp Compassion.’ The amount collected under this scheme will be distributed to various institutions working for the welfare of underprivileged all over the country, Narendra informed.

General managers A Mohan Rao and M P Kunju were present on the occasion.
