Mangaluru: Tulu film 'Ambar Caterers' hits theatres with unique inauguration by auto drivers

Mangaluru, Nov 24: One of the most awaited Coastalwood movies 'Ambar Caterers' directed by Jai Prasad Bajal and produced by Kadandale Suresh Bhandary, released at Jyothi theatre on Friday, November 24. The movie simultaneously hit 13 screens across Dakshina Kannad and Udupi districts.

In a unique move, the film was inaugurated Mangaluru city auto rickshaw drivers.

Addressing the gathering, driver Praveen said, "A wonderful gesture has been shown by the team of ‘Ambar Caterers’, inviting us for the inauguration of the film. The songs of the film are really good. We wish the entire team of the film success and hope the film to reach a milestone of 100 days."

President of producers' association Rajesh Brahmavar said, "This film has set the standard of Tulu film industry high. The budget of the film is Rs two crore. New and versatile talent has been introduced through ‘Ambar Caterers’. The film has come out really well in terms of music, action, and cinematography."

Tulu film director Prakash Pandeshwar said, "This film is a must-watch, filled with comedy from beginning to the end. The viewers will never feel bored throughout the film. This is an out and out entertainer."

'Ambar Caterers' released in 13 theatres across Mangaluru, Sullia and Udupi. Saurabh Bhandary is making his debut and Sandalwood actress Sindhu Loknath playing the lead. Kannada actor Sharath Lohitashwa, Bharathi Vishnuvardhan, Bank Janardhan, Naveen D Padil, Bojaraj Vamanjoor, and Aravind Bolar also seen in prominent roles.


Premiere Show 


The premiere show of 'Ambar Caterers' was held here at Cinepolis on Thursday November 23.

RSS leader Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat inaugurated the premiere show.

Addressing the gathering Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat said, "’Ambar Caterers’ has dedicated superstar Saurabh Bhandary to Tulu film industry. Such films can save our mother tongue and its culture. People around the country are striving hard to save their mother tongue. Language plays a prominent role in every film. Movies will help future generation to preserve the language and entertainment can help promote our culture."

President of Maharashtra Kannada Journalists' Association Chandrashekar Paalethady said, "Producer Kadandale Suresh Bhandary needs to be appreciated for his efforts in making a high budget movie in Coastalwood. I wish him all the success. Let the film create a new milestone in Tulu film industry."

Kannada actor Sharath Lohitashwa, Saurabh Bhandary, actress Sindhu Loknath, Coastalwood actors Arjun Kapikaad, Roopesh Shetty, Avinash Shetty, Naveen D Padil, Bojaraj Vamanjoor, director Vijay Kumar Kodialbail, actress Anvitha Sagar and others witnessed the premiere show of 'Ambar Caterers'.

Karnataka Tulu Academy president A C Bhandary, BJP leader Umanath Kotian, Cinepolis Mangaluru unit head Keerthan Shetty and others were present.
