Panaji: DKA set for Konkani Writer’s Conference on Nov 26

Panaji, Nov 25: Dalgado Konknni Akademi (DKA) will hold a ‘Writer’s Conference’ on November 26 at 10 am at Ravindra Bhavan, Margao.

Around 150 writers in Romi script have confirmed their attendance. Prof Edward D’Lima, professor and writer will be the chief guest for the opening session. The president of DKA Tomazinho Cardozo, vice-president Fr Conceicao D’Silva, secretary Vincy Quadros, treasurer Celso Fernandes and coordinator Anthony Miranda will be present.

The programme for the conference is as follows:

9.30 am - Registration and Breakfast
10.00 am - Inauguration with Lighting of the Lamp
11.00 am - Session I. Topic “Challenges to Implement Uniformity in Writing Konkanni in Roman Script

Panel Discussion – Fausto V Da Costa, Michael Gracias and Ashok Chodankar
Moderator – Vincy Quadros
