Vinod Sequeira is the owner of Electrical Point. It took years to shape his business to the present level. Electrical field is in his blood as his father, late S J Sequeira, had served in the Kingdom of Bahrain for decades in the State Oil Company as electrician. After obtaining Electrical Diploma from Karnataka Polytechnic, young Vinod worked as an Electrical Contractor in Mumbai and Mangaluru. During this time, he felt the growing demand for decorative lights and he started Electrical Point in a small way on 27 November 2000 at Falnir in Mangaluru with a space of about 300 sq ft.

Vinod provided decorative lights and fans as per the needs and tastes of his customers. As the years rolled on, his business flourished necessitating a bigger showroom. Vinod shifted his business to Karangalpady in 2004 to a showroom place of about 1500 sq ft. As customers response further grew he expanded his showroom to over 3000 sq ft in 2005.

Electrical Point has customers not only from Dakshina Kannada and Udupi but also from neighbouring districts of Kodagu, Shivamogga, Chikkamagalur, Davanagere, Hubballi and neighbouring states of Kerala and Goa and other places. To cater to the growing needs of the customers, Vinod shifted his business to his own premises at ‘Electrical Point Complex’ on 19 May 2012 on the prominent Kadri Road, opposite C V Nayak Hall and Toyota Showroom, just a few meters away from the city’s prominent landmark Bunts Hostel Circle, with a most modern 4 storied building with a space of about 15000 sq ft having ample vehicle parking area. With this, now Electrical Point is the largest showroom in the Coastal Karnataka.
