Three Pakistanis will be given medical visa: Sushma Swaraj

New Delhi, Nov 28 (PTI): External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj has said three Pakistani nationals, including a nine-year-old girl, would be given visa for their medical treatment in India.

Responding to a request by Danish Memon for a visa to his nine-year-old daughter Maria for treatment of thalassemia here last night, she asked the Indian High Commission in Islamabad to issue the travel document immediately.

"Maria Danish - I am asking Indian High Commission in Pakistan to issue your visa immediately," Swaraj tweeted.
Replying to another request by one Mariam Asim for medical visa for her father, she said India would issue the visa.

"Pls contact Indian High Commission in Pakistan with your papers. We will issue the visa," Swaraj tweeted.

The external affairs minister also assured another Pakistani woman, Fariha Usman, of granting visa after she requested her for it.

Pakistan earlier accused India of "politicising" humanitarian issues.

On Thursday, Pakistan had accused India of selectively issuing medical visa to its citizens and that it was not a gesture of compassion but "cold-blooded politicking".

If at all it was done by Minister of foreign affairs from Congress he/she would have been branded anti-Indian and pro-Pakistan.

What is amazing about this woman is she is in regular contact with Pakistan to find out who is sick there and then arrange visas for them in India. there are hundreds of children dieng in India in hospitals, not a word from BJP or Mrs.Swaraj.

Mr.Modi has appointed a defacto Foreighn Minister only to look after Pakistani sick people and once in a while she will see who are the Indians stuck in troubled places outside India. For all other external works, Mr.Modi has Ajit Doval. He takes him everywhere he goes and I have not seen Sushma going with the PM even once. This government works in a very funny manner and it tells us clearly that the portfolios are only for namesake and it is always one man show.

Helping sick is a noble cause and I salute her for that but she must take other matters seriously and fight for her rights as a External Affairs Minister. It sends a right signal to countries where we do business. Don't act like a lame duck.

Wah, BJP is very generous and kind toward Pakistan who mercilessly slain our soldiers at border and attack our country. Is this humanity or foolishness ? If at all this was done by Congress, all wild dogs would have hit the streets.
