LeT overground worker arrested in Kashmir

Srinagar, Dec 1 (IANS): The Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday claimed to have arrested an overground worker affiliated to the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant outfit from Kupwara district.

A police officer said that the arrested person, Afaq Ahmad Bhat alias Abu Huraira, was responsible for providing logistic support to the LeT. On his interrogation two hideouts of the group were busted.

Overground workers, called OWGs by security forces, provide logistic support to militants by organising their hideouts and by keeping an eye on the movement of security forces.
