CRPF trooper killed in UP road accident


New Delhi/Ghazipur, Dec 4 (IANS): A CRPF trooper, who was on leave for his wedding scheduled for this week, died in a road accident near his village in Uttar Pradesh's Ghazipur district, an official said in New Delhi on Monday.

Alok Kumar Singh was returning home from Varanasi on Sunday when the vehicle he was travelling in collided with a tractor near Eshopur village in Ghazipur, the CRPF official said.

Singh, who was to get married on December 9, succumbed to his injuries during treatment in a hospital.
