Mumbai, Jul 10: Lion Simon Peter Furtado, hailing from Bennekudru, Barkur, was elected President of Lions Club, Bombay Lakeside. The installation ceremony was held at Ceremonial Hall, Mulund, recently.



Popularly known as Peter Furatdo, he is also the vice-president of St Peter’s association (Barkur), Mumbai, and is known for his social work and the helping hand he lends to many schools in his hometown.

Lion Kamal Heda, MJF, district governor, did the honors while Lion Anil Jadhav was the guest of honor who inducted five new members.
