Bangalore, Jul 10: The BJP ministry in Karnataka led by Chief Minister B S Yeddyurapa was expanded with the induction of three more ministers of cabinet rank.

Governor Rameshwar Thakur administered the oath of office and secrecy to Balachandra Laxmanrao Jarakiholi, K Shivanagouda Naik and Asnotikar Anand Vasanth at a brief ceremony held at Rajbhavan.

With this second expansion, the ministry's strength rose to 34, the maximum stipulated for the state under the constitution. Yeddyurappa and his cabinet colleagues were present on the occasion.

The three had defected from Congress and JDS last week to BJP and have been rewarded with ministerial berths.

Jarakiholi and Naik had been elected on JDS ticket from Arabhavai and Devadurga Assembly constituencies and Asnotikar of Congress from Karwar assembly segment.

They had quit their assembly memberships to avoid attraction of provisions of anti-defection laws before joining the BJP.

All the three are currently not members of either Houses of legislature and will have to get elected within six months. They will be contesting by-elections from their former constituencies after the Election Commission notifies the dates.

J Narasimha Swamy of Congress, who had also joined the BJP after resigning his assembly seat, has been appointed Chairman of Slum Clearance Board.

One thing is clear that these defectors are not interested in serving the electorate, but to serve themselves and their families. They have betrayed the electorate and with what face they would return to them again asking for fresh mandate. Who will pay for these bye elections. We the taxpayers. Shame on these animals. Dogs are better than these dirty politicians. Dogs are always sincere and faithful to their masters but not these defected MLAs

We all know, animals always move towards greener pasture of the land. Do you think these people are better than animals? Do we have a law to stop this kind of open cheating? Elected member can cheat his constituency openly by joining any party of his choice, just after election and just for the sake of power? Who will bear the expenses of by-election? Tax payer? Why? Elected member cannot bring development to his constituency, if his party is not in power?

Aren’t these people misleading us? What we are doing? This offence is not listed in IPC 420? Can someone help me to find an answer for this? Can anyone file PIL from their constituencies? We voters must learn face reading, and then we can vote on face value.
