M'luru: 'Star Student Awards' to honour academically excelled SAC students on Dec 13

Mangaluru, Dec 12: The Department of Physical Sciences, St Aloysius College (Autonomous), here, will organise 'Star student Awards' on December 13 at Fr L F Rasquinha hall, LCRI block at 10.00 am.

The programme will be held under the Star College Scheme with a notion of felicitating the physical science students who have academically excelled in the previous examinations. This programme is an attempt to encourage and motivate the students to excel in pure sciences.

Prof B V Rajarama Bhat, head of the department, Stat-Math unit, Indian Statistical Institute, Bengaluru will be the chief guest and will deliver the keynote address on the topic 'Mathematics Research Scenario in India'.

Fr Praveen Martis SJ, principal will grace the occasion and Fr Dionysius Vaz SJ, rector of St Aloysius institutions will preside over the function.

Dr Ronald Nazareth, co-ordinator of Star College Scheme will convene the programme.
