Mangalore, Jul 11: A city bus rammed into an electricity pole on Thursday, July 10, but fortunately, the passengers escaped unscathed. Following the collision the pole rolled over the KSRTC bus which was plying on National Highway 48.

The passengers might not have had such a miraculous escape had the bus come into contact with a live electric wire. Meanwhile, a bus rolled into a gorge at Kanyana near Vittal on Thursday, as the driver lost control. Not much damage was caused by this accident, sources informed.
