Padubidri / Udupi, Jul 11: One person died and three were injured in a fishing boat tragedy that occurred in an estuary at Hejamadikody, near here, on the morning of Thursday, July 10.




The deceased has been identified as Madhav Puthran from Hejamady fishermen’s colony.  Sridar, Umesh, and Bhaskar Poojary, sustained minor injuries and are being treated at a private hospital in Padubidri. Bhaskar Putran, Dayanand Karkera, and Jaya, who were the other passengers of the boat, managed to reach shore safely.
