Udupi: Silver Jubilee celebration of Nirmala English Medium School held

Udupi, Dec 12: The inaugural function of the silver jubilee celebrations of Nirmala English Medium School was held on December 11.

Chief guest Fr J B Braggs, founder of Nirmala English Medium School, Fr Victor Fernandes, correspondent of Nirmala English Medium School and the president of the day, guests of honour Lokesh C, BEO, Brahmavar, Ravi Prakash Gonsalves, vice-president of Parish Pastoral Committee, Sr Pauline Gabriel Fernandes, former headmistress of Nirmala English Medium School, Sr Lucy Fernandes headmistress of Nirmala Kannada Medium School, PTA president Sri Ajmal Asadi, vice-president Cynthia Lobo, Mythri, president of Alumni Association, and Fr Roshan D’Souza, assistant parish priest of Holy Family Church were present. 



The programme started with a prayer dance by students.

Fr J B Braggs, Lokesh, Fr Victor Fernandes, Irene Pereira and Jevita (SPL) lighted the Lamp.

Fr J B Braggs unveiled Nirmala Matha’s statue and students sang the school anthem.

Lokesh launched the school website.

Fr J B Braggs, Lokesh, and Fr Victor Fernandes spoke on the occasion. Mementos were presented to the guests by Fr Victor Fernandes.

Students performed group dance, Yakshagana, Vande Matharam and others in the cultural programme.

The programme concluded with the national anthem.

Neha Sara of IX and Dhanyatha of IX compered the programme. Meghana of X and Relisha of IX welcomed the gathering. The vote of thanks was rendered by Prathamesh.
