Mangalore, Jul 15: St Vincent Ferrar church, Valencia, a vibrant and creative parish in the city has added yet another association to its structure called Marian Sodality.  It is an association for the higher primary and high school girls.  A total of 60 students were incorporated into Marian Sodality during the solemn Eucharistic celebration held on Sunday July 13.  

Fr Maxim Rosario celebrated the Eucharist and blessed the ribbons with medals which are the visible sign of their incorporation into this unit.  Children offered flowers to Mother Mary in a traditional form. 

Parish priest Fr Bonaventure Nazareth felicitated the animators, Sr Rita Vaz, Joyce Pais, and Gladys Mascarenhas.  The office-bearers were also felicitated on this occasion.

The members of Marian Sodality shall involve themselves in promoting Marian devotion in the parish and engage themselves in the parish activities.  They will have regular meetings and prayer sessions as per the norms of their associations.
