Udupi, Jul 16: The skeleton of a lady enveloped in a gunny bag, was found on Tuesday July 15, on a heap of rocks by the side of a rivulet near Nadikudru bridge in Hejmadikodi, Padubidri.

Golden 'taali' with 'karimani', green bangles in hands, red coloured cloth which is either a sari or nightie, have given the clue that the remains belong to a woman. It is presumed, that the body was secured in a gunny bag before throwing it into the rivulet about two months ago.

DySP Girish, Kaup circle inspector Vinay Naik, Padubidri police staiton in-charge Mohan K and taluk medical officer Dr Ashok visited the spot. The bones have been kept at Padubidri primary health centre, for being sent to the forensic department of KMC Hospital Manipal.

The policemen have been looking into missing complaints filed since the last several months and might be able to establish the identity of the murdered lady within a couple of days.
