Mangalore, Jul 17: If we choose a natural way of living, diseases keep away from us. Those who take to artificial ways of living, suffer from more diseases. A lifestyle that is environment friendly helps one to keep good health, said Hosnagar Ramachandrapur Math head Sri Raghaveshwara Bharati Swamiji.
He was speaking at the 'Panchagavya'treatment camp for chikungunya and 'Dhanwantari Havana' programme organised on Wednesday at Namma Mane Havyaka Bhavan in Guruvayankere.
Allopathy has failed to affectively treat chikungunya. This disease has an affective treatment through substances got from the cow. This camp has been organised to make people aware of this fact. It has been found that the incidence of chikungunya is less in homes where cow dung mixed with water is used to wash the floors and courtyards, he explained.
Our lives should be more dependent on cows. Cows are essential for agriculture, religious practices etc., If we try to live without its involvement, our health will suffer, he opined.
The Swamiji advised the Havyaka Parishat to give top priority to general welfare and rush wherever some poor, dowtrodden, destitute or grief stricken people are in distress. Even service to the Guru comes next in importance. Fund collection etc., rank further down, he said.
The Swamiji felicitated MLA Vasant Bangera. Belthangady Seema Parishat president Kantaje Eshwar Bhat and Gurikar Balya Shankar Bhat were present.
