Mangalore: BJP Launches Minority Membership Campaign

Mangalore, Jul 23: BJP state vice-president Anwar Manippady informed at a press conference held in the city on Tuesday July 22 that the party has launched a membership drive from minority communities. The party aims to enroll two lac new members from these communities, he revealed.

The campaign was initiated in the district on Tuesday July 22. About 300 people from the minority communities came into the party fold today, he stated.

The minority communities have started reposing faith on the BJP because of the contributions B S Yeddyurappa and facilities he extended for their welfare, both when he was the deputy chief minister and after he became the state chief minister. They are now convinced, that the other parties are wooing and exploiting them just for creating vote banks and not out of any genuine concern for them, he explained.

BJP district committee president K Monappa Bhandary, Abdul Salim, Kamarul Burburi, Srikar Prabhu and Franklin Monteiro were present at the press conference.

    I fully agree with Maleeha and condemn Uday. It all started by the BJP in the name of Ram Mandir, exploiting Hindu sentiments for their selfish political reasons. It brought them from mere 2 Lokasabha seats to a prominent opposition party.

    In fact BJP should not only be hated by Muslims, it should be most hated by Hindus. The size of BJP today is made up of thousands of Hindu-Muslim lives. True, all politicians are power hungry, but you cannot cross certain limits. I also agree that, some Muslims did indulge in in-human acts. But you cannot provoke a lion and expect it not to bite.

    Hi Maleeha, Your are thinking only about minorities, But where are you when we tortured by your minorities, They burnt train in godhra, keeping bombs every where. Each and every criminal case included by your brothers only. Just sit a while close your eyes think abt this. God Bless you

    Dear Anwar, where were you - when minorities were tortured, beaten, killed, raped in your district. don't show soft face of BJP, just because of Yedurappa is sitting on top, (like when soft spoken Vajpayee running this country as PM, entire minority in Gujarat was killed raped, and burned.) likewise, there are hidden criminals from sangh parivar is in your team, why don't you use their name in front of minorities.? BJP must have bought you to cover up their hidden agenda, but you being a educated lot, should think about next life.
