Panaji: Accused Molester Seeks Anticipatory Bail

Panaji, Jul 24: A cricket coach, Anil Arolkar, accused of molesting a teenage girl, has applied for anticipatory bail in a local court here.
 
The victim’s father had lodged a police complaint against the coach with Panaji police station. The complaint mentioned that on an evening in June 2008, while his daughter was relaxing in the TV room of the Panjim Gymkhana here after tennis practice the accused entered the room, tried to catch her from behind and then forcibly tried to kiss her.
 
Following the complaint, Arolkar was suspended by the Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) pending enquiry. The court will hear the matter on July 24.
