Mangalore Airport Equipped with X-ray Baggage Checking System

Mangalore, Jul 24: A new x-ray baggage checking equipment costing about Rs 35 lacs, that has been installed in the departure hall of the Bajpe international airport here, was inaugurated by Dharmastala Temple Dharmadhikari Dr D Veerendra Heggade on Wednesday, July 23.


Mangalore Airport Director M R Vasudev, Dr Ambareesh from the KMC Hospital, Air India Mangalore airport manager Chellam Prasad and Indian Airlines manager Nagesh Shetty were present on that occasion.

    Some times I feel that all the jokers have assembled in Mangalore Airport. X-ray screening machine is the basic necessity of any airport. I wonder, is this the first time this kind of machine is being installed here. Its not the fault of Mr. Hegadde. He does not want to displease anyone.

    The jokers whom I do not want to name who has invited Mr. Heggade inspite of knowing his busy schedule are to be questioned. Some people just want to be in lime light and they try all type of gimmicks and if they find none then at last even X-ray machine will work. Great guys keep it up. CHEERS!

    These people are having some other work to do which can help the community.Care should be taken when organising such inaugaration because airport security can be compromised.

    This can happen only in India! Dr. Veerendra Heggade should be inaugurating x-ray machines in hospital and not baggage screening machines in airport, and what is Dr. Ambareesh from KMC doing there does he not have better things to attend to in KMC?
