Sudan enjoyed an early lead during Sunday evening game thanks to Omar Suliman's header in the 19th minute. Guinea equalised in the 55th minute thanks to another header from Sekou Camara, reports Xinhua news agency.
In the opener game of Group A, Morocco defeated Mauritania 4-0 on Saturday. In the second round, Morocco will play Guinea while Mauritania will face Sudan on Wednesday.
The biennial tournament, reserved only for African players based in their domestic leagues, features 16 teams in four groups.
