Karkala, Jan 19: The research directorate of NITTE (deemed to be university) will organise a university level convention 'Anveshan', on January 19 at 10.30 am for students of constituent colleges under NITTE Education Trust.
This unique programme is aimed at providing a common platform to the students from different fields to showcase their research work and to open up avenues for interdisciplinary approaches in research.
The convention will be held at the central auditorium of Paneer campus. Students from various colleges under Nitte will present posters on their work and the best five projects will be chosen by a panel of experts constituted by the research directorate. These five projects will be recommended for the zonal convention to be held on February 21 and 22 at Bharathiar University.
Dr Satheesh Kumar Bhandary, vice chancellor, will inaugurate the programme and Dr Prabha Adhikari, HoD, general medicine, Yenepoya (deemed to be university) will be the guest of honour.
Dr Iddya Karunasagar, senior director, International Relations and Dr Indrani Karunasagar, director (R & D) will coordinate the programme.
