M'luru: St Agnes College to conduct personality development workshop on Jan 22

Mangaluru, Jan 20: The department of commerce, St Agnes College (autonomous) here, on January 22 will organise a one-day intercollegiate personality development workshop ‘Persona 2018’ for students of colleges affiliated to Mangalore University.

The objectives of the workshop are:

  • To sensitize students in the importance of self-awareness, self-knowledge and self-identity so as to be competent to face and survive the challenges of the competitive corporate world.
  • To train students in soft skills to make them confident and employable.

The resource persons are trained III BCom students of St Agnes College, Mangaluru.

    I am delighted to note that St. Agnes College will shortly be conducting a one day Development Workshop focusing on Women. This is going to be a valuable gathering so that various important issues pertaining to the changing role of women in this fast changing world. The Convention will enjoy greater momentum because it will be initiated by the Department of Commerce. Women are proving to be very entrepreneurial in every segment of our society not only in India but all over the world. The role of women is changing everywhere, and therefore the self awareness of women as well as their self identity will prove to be a growing concern in this fast moving world where the societies are changing and the women are proving to be stronger and smarter in every involvement of our daily life.

    Particularly in India, women have proven to be successful Mothers, successful daughters and successful sisters. They play an important role within the four walls of the house. India has produced women as a President, as a Prime Minister, as Chief Ministers, as Governors as well as Ambassadors in several countries including the United States, United Kingdom and several other nations.

    A woman therefore deserves greater love and respect, and their progress and prosperity in the Business World should be recognized as a benefit to the changing society where a woman has proved to be smarter and more hard working than a man.

    India is an unique country where the Hindus, Moslems and Christians revere Woman as an unique and powerful individual that is fully capable to uphold the society as a whole. The world needs more Leaders, and it is gratifying to note that India has produced and will continue to produce more productive women that will contribute for the welfare of not only in India but far and beyond.

    The Workshop that St. Agnes is going to conduct on January 22, 2018 will be a very useful gathering that will benefit all of us.
