Mumbai: Three-day drama festival set in motion at Mysore Association auditorium

Mumbai, Jan 20: The three day drama festival by Mysore Association, here sponsored by Kannada and cultural department Bengaluru and Adya Rangacharya foundation was set in motion at Mysore Association auditorium, Bhavudaji road, Matunga east on Friday evening January 19.

Adya Rangacharya Foundation director Dr Usha Desai lit the lamp, set the programme in motion and conveyed her best wishes. Dramatist Chandre Gowda Shivamogga, Mysore Association Mumbai's Dr B R Manjunath and K Manjunathayya were on the dais. Shivamogga's Hongirana troupe later presented 'Veera Uttara Kumara' drama by Dr Sathish Saswehalli.



The second drama titled 'Gul A Bakavali', directed by M S Sathyu will be performed on Saturday evening January 20 at 7 pm by Bengaluru's Amateur Dramatic Association. The third drama by Bengaluru' expression theater troupe named 'Kelu Janumejaya' will be performed on Sunday evening at 6.30 pm.

Prizes will also be distributed. Well known dramatist and drama director Dr Bharath Kumar Polipu will arrive as chief guest. Mysore Association manager B K Madhusoodan has requested everyone to take part in the festival.
