'Padmaavat' stir: Gurgaon school bus carrying children stoned amid protests

Gurgaon, Jan 24 (Agencies): Despite prohibitory orders, hundreds of Shree Rajput Karni Sena supporters blocked traffic at the Khidki Daula toll plaza on the Delhi-Jaipur National Highway as they protested against the release of controversial film 'Padmaavat' on Thursday.

Protests took a violent turn after protestors attacked a school bus carrying children. Protesters threw stones at a bus of GD Goenka School near Bhondsi in Sohna, breaking its windows, according to a report in NDTV.

Students from Classes 2 to 12 were in the bus, along with teachers and staff.

Several younger children were seen crying in a mobile phone video, frightened as they crouched on the bus floor with their hands covering their mouth.

Students and teachers were seen hiding behind the seats to protect themselves from the stones being hurled by the protesters. The school bus was right behind a state-run bus which was torched by the protesters.

The teachers and staff complained that the police could not help them as the protesters did not care.

"There were policemen, but no one was listening to them. The protesters didn't care," a teacher was quoted as saying by NDTV.

Earlier on Wednesday, a Haryana Roadways bus was set on fire near village Bhondsi in Gurgaon allegedly by protesting activists of Karni Sena, officials said.

Some of the protesters even damaged toll booths and vehicles, police said. They assembled at toll plaza at 11:30 am and stalled the movement of vehicles for half an hour, an official said.

Traffic was normalised after the police dispersed them, he said adding the protesters raised slogans against filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

However, there was no loss of life in the incidents, officials added.

The police said that restrictions under section 144 of the CrPC had been imposed but denied that bars and pubs in the city had been ordered to remain closed.

The Gurgaon administration had on Tuesday imposed prohibitory orders till Sunday to maintain law and order in view of the Shree Rajput Karni Sena threatening to target theatres against the scheduled release of Padmaavat on Thursday.

There are over 40 multiplexes and cinema halls in Gurgaon.

"Following imposition of section 144, there is prohibition on the presence of people carrying firearms and other articles capable of causing injury, raising slogans and exhibiting placards within 200 meters radius of cinema halls and multiplexes from January 23 to January 28," Singh said.

The Supreme Court had earlier paved the way for the all- India release of 'Padmaavat' and stayed notifications and orders issued by Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat all ruled by theBJP prohibiting exhibition of the film.

Most of Bansali's movies was always about evil Muslim invader V/s cultured rajput or some other caste defending their pride..This movie went one step further in portraying evil Muslim invader and it was clearly Islamaphobic in content..

The one people who should have protested against this movie should have been Muslims ...As it goes along with Sanghi propoganda...But irony those who are doing violent riots across the streets are the same people who Bhansali thought would defend and appreciate the film as the film was about Violent Muslim invader and cultured rajput Hindu defending his land...

Bhansali must have learnt hard lesson ...The snake which you are feeding will bite you

It is clear from the sting operation of BJP MLA Mr. Raj Purohit by Republic TV that this is BJP sponsored drama in all BJP ruled states for their political benefit.

BJP is teaching Nationalism to others and true colour of their nationalism and patriotism can be seen here. The same BJP which can use force on university student girls , for as per BJP ideology they are anti nationals. Is Karni sena or BJP who are on rampage are patriots ? If BJP is so impartial they govt should have shoot down few of these Karni Sena( Kayar sena ? ) anti national elements to show what is the real patriotism.

Common why can't this be terrorism...Is it the good terrorism modi spoke at Davos....

If not why bullets and pellets are not speaking ....There is two laws in this country one for minorities and Dalits and other for upper caste Hindus...

If upper caste Hindus goes on rampage our state rather than tackling the issue with iron fist they stand along with them or turn blind eye...What happened in Koregoan,Jat agitation,Rajput Karni sena,Patel agitation,Gujjar agitation are just example of it...

Indian bullets and pellets only speak against Kashmiri Muslims, hashimpur massacre etc...sedition case will be applied against Muslims and Dalits and there would be violent crackdown if ever they try to do slightest of the same thing ...

But no one ever asks whether Karni Sena is Indian first or Rajput first...Hypocrisy of the administration is clearly visible...and media is acting like cry baby and asking why this thing happened forgetting they are the one who mainstreamed and validated violent actions of these people against minorities and more such thin will happen in future in a country which normalised hate and attacks on vulnerable sections of the society...You will feel the pain when one of your suffer the same

This is the fate of India. We do bunds for wrong reasons. We destroy ourselves and give a chance to Leaders to make money in reconstruction. In the bargin, we may have lost our loved ones, our only bread winners and starving but leaders encash on these. So people wake up and reject these leaders. Let the Leaders alone do the bunds. See they did not spare the school children!! Shame on us.

On April 12, the Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar’s cabinet renamed Gurgaon to Gurugram meaning the village of the guru - citing mythological records. The guru in question is Dronacharya, the indigent warrior Brahmin who trained the Kauravas and Pandavas in warfare.
Nowhere in the 1.8 million words of Vyasa’s Mahabharata is there a mention of a Gurugram as it stands on the present day area of Gurgaon.
Since ages, the story of Eklavya(a character from the Indian epic- Mahabharata has come to define exemplary discipleship. But there is an unheard and unseen side to the famous story.
Today in the name of religion 'Karni Sena' another loose outfit of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh is burnt a state transport bus and stoned school bus full of students to terrifying has nothing to do with Bollywood movie release.
    Haryana under Manohar Lal Khattar government has failed. Here are some poor record;

During Jat reservation agitation the protests were estimated to have caused a loss of ₹340 billion (US$5.3 billion) in northern India.Railway Minister told in Lok Sabha "The total loss suffered by Railways on account of damage to property and cancellation of tickets during the agitation is about Rs 55.92 crore. By 26 February, 30 people had been killed in the violence.

Dera Sacha Sauda 2017 Conviction Dera violence following Gurmeet Ram Rahim's arrest cost Haryana Rs 126,68,71,700. A report in Times of India mentions that Ambala incurred the maximum loss of Rs 46.84 crore. Death toll in the violence following Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh’s conviction in a rape case was up to 36.

Rampal -Vs- the State: Over 200 injured in Barwala as 30,000 security personnel fail to break through godman's human shield.Over 200 injured, including security forces and media, as disciples including women and children fight back with fire-bombs and acid.
If incompetent pracharak were nominated as Chief Minister catastrophe is much awaited.

Attacking a school bus???? What a shameful act by this entire community. What is the difference between these people and the terrorist who killed kids in Peshawar. This is how we set example to rest of the countries??? Rajputs are pride of our nation... And these so called Rajputs are leading our nation towards terrorism.

In my earlier post, I mentioned these kind of incidents are bound to happen. Because BJP's invisible hands work in both places. The SC had to permit the film. Modi Govt., marketed itself then as saviour of freedom to the masses. Same BJP has hand in gloves with these organizations, who protest against the release of movie. Here also, they say they are with the people.

Until the tile people note this divide and rule policy of BJP and throw them out of power, the game will continue.
