Mangaluru: Guddali Puja performed for asphalting of Jappinamogaru - Tardolya road

Mangaluru, Jan 25: Mayor Kavita Sanil conducted 'Guddali Puja' for asphalting of the Jappinamogaru - Tardolya road. This public work is done at a cost of Rs 22 lac, the grant for which was released, by the mayor, on the special recommendation of J R Lobo, MLA, Mangaluru south constituency.

Speaking on the occasion, J R Lobo, who was the chief guest of the occasion said, "Grants are released for several works in Jappinamogaru locality and the work of other projects will also begin soon. All round development of this area will be done."

Kavita Sunil in her address to the gathering said, "I have visited this locality and known the issues faced by the residents. When the residents and the MLA requested me to release the grant for the conversion of the said road into asphalt, I responded to their plea immediately."



J Umeshchandra, former national leader, Praveenchandra Alva, corporator, Kankanady B ward, Sudhakar J, president Congress ward, Sunil Kuma, president, youth Congress, U Karunakar Shetty and Sudir Kadekar, leaders, district Congress, Herbert D'Souza Kadekar, block vice-president were present.

Neeraj Paul, Keerthan Kumar, Deekshit Crasta, Lavanya Shetty, Nagashree Yashodhar, Shailesh Bhandary, Dinesh Kulal, Tharanath Bhandary, Amarnath Bhandary, Abdul Latif Riyaz Tardolya, Ramdas Nayak, Walter D'Souza, Ashunta D'Souza, Babita D'Souza, Priya D'Souza, Naveen Stevens and Geetha Monteiro were present on the occasion.
