Mangalore, Aug 1: The Student Federation of India (SFI) and Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI), staged a protest on Thursday, July 31, against the series of bomb blasts that occurred in Bangalore and Ahmedabad recently.

Muneer Katipalla, DYFI district president, said that miscreants have been trying to break the unity of the country by spreading terror, but the citizens showed their unity by maintaining peace. The responsibility of the government has increased nowadays as terrorism is spreading its tentacles in the southern states also, he added.

Katipalla accused terrorist organizations of using desperate Muslim youth to achieve their motives. The government should take stringent action against terrorists as they are regularly attempting to disrupt peace in society, he urged.

The protestors shouted anti-terrorism slogans during the protest. DYFI and SFI leaders Prashant Achar, and Jeevan were among those present.
