Shillong, Jan 31 (Deccan Chronicle): Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday said Congress will change the structure of the GST (Goods and Services Tax) if it is voted to power in the Centre.

Addressing an event in poll-bound Meghalaya, the Congress president said, "We are fighting RSS ideology across the nation. Idea is that one form of thinking is imposed on the country. What BJP and RSS are doing in all over India and particularly in North-east is attempting to undermine your culture, language and way of life."

Rahul said, RSS idea is aimed at disempowering women. He said, "Does anyone know many leadership positions are with women in RSS? Zero. If you see pictures of Mahatma Gandhi you'll find women on this side (right), this side (left) but if you see pictures of Mohan Bhagwat, he'll be alone or surrounded by men."

The Congress president said one of the most important things to be done in the Congress is to balance the number of men and women fielded in the election.

Inviting women to join the Congress in Meghalaya, Rahul said, "I would like to invite women to join the party in Meghalaya so that we have more and more women to choose from."

    you will change a lot of things... satyanaas karde deka thu agar power pe aagaye.... praying god ensure you doesn't come to power at least for a decade so that Modi can finish all the initiatives he has started and prove all these are good for country. by then India will be a developed country and by then no rom will be there for you and your party.... let's all ensure this lutere party doesn't come to power. please... or else all the initiatives started by Modi will go for toss ... these will not let country to develop as they have done for decades now.... GST will go for toss... swatch bharath will be taken revenge by dirtying the country across.... River Ganga will be spoiled and dirtified. make in india will be taken revenge by spoiling the employment.... world class leader will be replaced by a joker... India will start coming down in world class level and back to the same old position .... so be cautious please.

    Congress and BJP if they rule India for another seventy years also no development can take place. Poor will become poorer and rich will become richer . Their main policy is to divide the people and rule,so they can enjoy the power. Congress wooing the minorities and BJP majority people for this. No leaders got punishment from both the parties who were responsible for 1984 Sikh riots and 2002 Godhra riots in which thousands of innocent people were killed. So if these two parties continue to rule, forget about development there will not be any security for life also. If Congress party was honest they should have taken the initiative in punishing the main culprits responsible for Sikh riots . Because of not doing so people were not afraid in doing Godhra riots and this cycle will be going on if these two parties rule our country.

    khangress govt will be formed in Gujarath and will do you this and will do that .pappu is pappu only because now the election in Meghalaya is not for Parliament but for state assembly .what steps he will take to improve Meghalaya ? I think he will tell during Parliament election in 2019what steps he will take to improve Meghalaya State as at that time non khangress will be ruling Meghalaya
