Bantwal, Aug 1: Owing to the negligence of people engaged in cutting down a coconut tree, four students travelling in an autorickshaw got injured after the tree directly fell on the vehicle.

Kamal (8), Mufeed (8), Swastik (9) and Jansal (9) were injured in the incident that occured at Bobbekeri in Vittal. It is learnt that the tree was cut down part by part and the last, bottom portion of the stem fell on the moving three-wheeler which was carrying the said students back home from St Rita school. The students are undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Vittal.
