Sunny Friday morning in Delhi


New Delhi, Feb 2 (IANS): It was a sunny morning here on Friday with the minimum temperature recorded at 10.5 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average, the weather office said.

"The sky was mainly clear in the morning, though shallow fog is likely to occur," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.

Visibility stood at 600 metres at 8.30 a.m., while the humidity was 55 per cent.

At least 26 trains were cancelled, 23 delayed while four were rescheduled due to fog in some parts of northern India, according to Railways.

The maximum temperature was likely to hover around 27 degrees Celsius.

The maximum temperature on Thursday settled at 28.8 degrees Celsius, six notches above the season's average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 11 degrees Celsius, three notches above the season's average.
