Mangaluru: Mata Amritanandamayi Devi's cleanliness awareness campaign held

Mangaluru, Feb 2: An awareness campaign on cleanliness, 'Amala Bharatha' of Mata Amritanandamayi was held at Maryhill premises here on January 27.

Students in large numbers took part and cleaned the surroundings.

Mount Carmel Central School principal Sr Melissa set the campaign in motion.



The programme was organized by environmentalist Krishnappa and Krishnamoorthi.

    Cleanliness drive is a good initiative ...However in most of such drives I see people cleaning weeds or grass ..I think these natures items and should be spared ..We should concentrate more on plastic bottles and other garbage dumped by irresponsible citizens..
