Udupi, Aug 2: Strange indeed are the forms of worship to appease God. In one such instance, a certain Ningappa Hanumantappa Turbi (58), a native of Kaginele (the same as Kanakadas), Savanoor taluk, Haveri district, is on a walkathon from his village to Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwar, in Beltangady taluk of Dakshina Kannada district.

He began his journey on Friday, July 18, and reached here on Friday, August 1, covering 350 kilometers. Ningappa is camping at Kanaka mantap in Sri Krishna Math.

Speaking to Daijiworld.com he said that he is a staunch believer of Saint Kanakadas and would continue his journey to Dharmasthala on Monday, August 4, where he would offer puja for global peace.

Interestingly, this is the second walkathon Ningappa has embarked on since last year.
