Kundapur, Feb 3: DYFI leader Subrahmanya Achar and other CPIM leaders joined Congress on February 2.
MLA K Gopala Poojary in his residence welcomed the new entrants into the fold by handing over the party flag to CPIM's Subrahmanya Achar Padukone, Babu Poojary Nada, Manjunath Poojary Senapur and Mahesh Putran Konki.
Taluk panchayat member Raju Devadiga, Byndoor Block Congress president Madan Kumar, Nada gram panchayat president Jenmeri Olivera, vice-president Arvind Poojary, Rajiv Shetty, Sathish Ramnagar, Rama Poojary, Prabhu Kennedy Pereira, Vijay Mogaveera and others were present.
Subrahmanya Achar said that he is joining the Congress as he liked the development works done by party.
