New Delhi, Feb 3: Accused of raping his employee, a 65-year-old factory owner has petitioned the court that he will undergo narco analysis and lie-detector test to prove his innocence.

The Delhi court has approved his petition and granted interim protection to him from arrest till February 19.

The senior citizen was to be arrested after a woman aged 35 and an employee in his factory accused that he sexually abused her for eight years. The man refuted the charges and said the only dispute he had with the woman was over salary and has been framed in a rape case.

His counsel advocate Pradeep Rana told the court that a written representation to conduct a narco test was submitted to the DCP concerned. However, they were asked to wait for 10 days before any decision is taken on his application since the police were busy in Republic Day preparations.

On being questioned by the court, additional public prosecutor for state submitted that during interrogation, co-employees of the victim were duly interrogated. Their statements were read over in the court and nothing incriminating came on record.

“In these circumstances, as applicant/accused has to undergo lie detector test and narco analysis, there shall be no arrest till February 19, 2018,” ordered additional sessions judge Mukesh Kumar.

This is the opportunity to prove how effective is Narco Analysis Test.

Well, I rather insist that both of them should be subjected to Narco. And, if the woman proves wrong, she should be given the punishment that is given to a rapist.
