Kundapur, Feb 3: A six kilometre-long road from Doopadakatte to Halnadu in Kavradi gram panchayat limits is badly in need of repair for the last several years. Villagers on Friday, February 2 held a protest urging for the repair of the road at the earliest saying that school and college going students and local villagers are facing difficulties.

They said that the concerned district administration should immediately respond to their woes. The protestors even warned of boycotting the upcoming state elections if no action is taken by them.

Villagers arrived from Halnad and Kandlur by bikes, rickshaw and other vehicles to Kandlur gram panchayat office and submitted an appeal to the acting panchayat development officer.
